Below are the general terms and conditions applicable to your stay at our guesthouse. Please read them carefully, as by making a reservation and using our services, you agree to the stated provisions. Our goal is to provide a pleasant and safe environment for all guests, so we kindly ask you to respect these rules.
Check-In and Check-Out:
Check-in is generally available after 3:00 PM, and check-out must be completed by 10:00 AM on the day of departure. Early arrivals or late departures can be arranged upon request (please contact us 24 hours in advance). These services depend on availability and may include an additional fee.
Peace and Respect for Other Guests:
To ensure a pleasant stay for everyone, we kindly ask all guests to maintain a quiet and respectful demeanor in the guesthouse, rooms, and common areas. Noise should be kept to a minimum, especially during nighttime hours (10:00 PM to 6:00 AM).
Smoking Policy:
Smoking is not permitted in the rooms, wellness area, or any indoor spaces. Designated outdoor areas are available for guests who wish to smoke. Violations of the indoor smoking ban may result in additional charges for deep cleaning of the room.
Responsibility for Damage:
Guests are required to handle the guesthouse’s property and equipment with care and consideration. In the case of intentional damage or negligence, we reserve the right to charge for the repair or replacement of damaged items.
Safety and Personal Belongings:
Guests are responsible for the safety of their personal belongings. The guesthouse does not accept liability for lost, stolen, or damaged items unless it is proven to be due to our negligence. We recommend storing valuables in a safe (if available) or keeping them under your supervision.
Cancellation and
Refund Policy for
Reservations:
Reservation Cancellation:
All changes, cancellations, and refund requests for the prepayment must be submitted in writing via email to info@bohinj-riverhouse.si. The cancellation becomes effective on the day Bohinj River House receives the guest’s email.
Cancellation Policy:
- Cancellations submitted up to 14 days prior to arrival: The guest will receive a 50% refund of the prepayment.
- Cancellations submitted 14 days or less before arrival, or in case of no-show: Bohinj River House retains the full prepayment.
- Bohinj River House reserves the right to determine other conditions for changes and cancellations based on the circumstances. The guest will be informed of such conditions before confirming the reservation.
- In the event of early departure, the remaining days of the stay will be charged in full.
Shortened Stay or Early Departure:
If guests shorten their stay or leave before the agreed departure date, we reserve the right to charge the full amount of the originally agreed stay unless otherwise arranged in advance.
No-Show:
If a guest does not arrive on the reserved date and fails to inform the guesthouse, we reserve the right to charge at least one night’s stay or the amount specified in the confirmation document, as well as cancel the remaining reservation.
Exceptions:
Special packages, promotional offers, or seasonal rates may include different cancellation terms. These will be clearly stated at the time of booking and take precedence over the general terms. In cases of force majeure (e.g., weather emergencies, natural disasters), we will endeavor to find the best possible solution to modify or cancel the reservation without unnecessary costs.
Pet-Friendly Terms and Additional Fees
At Bohinj River House, we are animal lovers, and four-legged companions are more than welcome here.
The number of pet-friendly rooms is limited, so we kindly ask you to indicate your pet during the booking process or contact us directly to check availability. Unfortunately, staying with a pet in standard rooms is not possible.
A pet fee is charged according to the current price list. To ensure a safe and comfortable stay for all guests, we kindly ask you to follow these guidelines:
- We welcome small to medium-sized dogs (exceptions are made for guide dogs).
- Only one pet is allowed per room.
- Dogs must be on a leash or in a carrier in public areas.
- Pets must not be left unattended in the room.
- Pet owners are responsible for any material damage caused by their animals.
- Pets are not allowed in the wellness area.
- In case of excessive noise (e.g., barking) that disturbs other guests, we may regrettably ask you to leave the hotel.

The general terms and conditions are designed to ensure a pleasant, safe, and respectful experience for all guests.
